I guess the teacher would have the best judgement. I can see advantages and disadvantages to both options.

I guess everybody does, in or outside of teaching. Being unconscious is part of being human I'd have thought — when I can gather all my attention together to have such a conscious thought.

Not sure I follow. Are you fully or partially sighted? If so, I've seen very interesting work with embossed graphic organisers with touch being the point of access to their non-linear organisation.
