I'm ecstatic to have earned Naomi's 1st choice vote for At Large! As Naomi says:

"Tom is the easy one: I would rank Tom first. He’s been a consistent voice on the Park Board for green space over parking, pedestrian access to parks over car access to parks, and other things I like."

If candidates are honest with you, they'll say that campaigning is a rather miserable experience.

But, there are wonderful moments. Like this photo taken at @ehbinmn.bsky.social's bench building event. Just four MPLS residents running for a better city, standing around a bench they built together.
Michael Wilson, Dewayne Davis, Eric Harris Bernstein, and Tom Olsen stand around a newly crafted bench. Well, Eric is sitting on it.

Joining my neighbors to walk for and DEMAND a Lyndale that serves people, transit, and our local communities over archaic views that prioritize single occupancy vehicles!

If we win 4, we can win the board!

Commissioner Tom Olsen at the bench party, talks about what a struggle it's been with the current status quo park board. He singles out @jason4parks.bsky.social as THE pivotal candidate who can tip the balance. If you send your money/volunteer energy to any place in the city make it district 4.

This is also Day 6 of #weekwithoutbiking!!! A reminder that until we implement systems that take climate action seriously, as a matter of course, we need to mobolize as a community!

“how many candidates for citywide office does it take to assemble a bench?”

answer: 4, representing mayor, park board and BET in dewayne davis, tom olsen, michael wilson, eric harris bernstein

Day 5 of #WeekWithoutDriving: started off biking to Sludge Sisters to chat with @kayforparks.bsky.social. Then biked all the way to Mendota Heights for dinner with the fam. Had no idea there's a great trail connection the whole way (except for one closure google didn't know about)!!!

Ugh. Mayor Frey trying to get bonus points by recording a video (about gun violence) on bike.

Feels very performative, given his actual track record on active transportation, including CLOSING the Stevens/Greenway bike/ped ramp due to gun violence.

Don’t trust Frey.

Stroll and Roll for a Livable Lyndale!
Saturday, October 4, 2-4 PM
Meet at Painter Park tennis courts (620 W 34th St, MPLS)
Let’s show Hennepin County that a shared use path is NOT the solution for Lyndale Avenue South!
Despite clear demands from community, Hennepin County has released a final design for the road reconstruction that compromises the safety and comfort of people biking, walking, and taking transit. Join the Livable Lyndale campaign on Saturday from 2-4 PM to walk, roll, or push our bikes along the sidewalk to demonstrate how crowded, unsafe, and uncomfortable it will be if all users are together in one space!

Day 4 of #weekwithoutdriving: I forgot to take a picture, but I took my e-scooter to go see One Battle After Another. The ride was fun, but the movie was better. 4.5/5, best PTA film?

I've worked with Kaela for her entire MN House career. There is no doubt in my mind that she is the best option for CD2. She clearly stands with working class Minnesotans, and she won't capitulate to mega corporations and the billionaire class!

Please support her if you can!!!

I’m Kaela Berg — a mom, flight attendant, union leader & State Rep. I’ve spent my life fighting for working families. With Washington shut down, it’s clearer than ever we need leaders who’ll fight for us — not billionaire donors.

Great to see overlow bike parking at the office!

Day 3 of #WeekWithoutDriving! Carpool fell through, so I rode my ebike from Fulton to the Capitol in St. Paul! The views and trails are wonderful. But, if I didn't have the funds for an ebike or there was extreme weather, this same trip by transit would take 40 min longer!
olsenforparks.bsky.social
I'm really excited to see these get to work! I've seen stellar results in other cities. Speed, accidents, and deaths can all be reduced with these cameras. Particularly if deployed citywide.
katiecashman.bsky.social
Traffic laws are now photo-enforced in the City of Mpls. Five traffic safety cameras were placed on accident-prone streets and will now issue tickets for speeding - $40 or $80 depending on the speed.

This is a step towards encouraging behavior change to slow down drivers and keep our city safe.🚦

Day #2 of #weekwithoutdriving and I'm carpooling into work with my friend Nick! Fun fact: I've never owned a car in my life. But living in a car centric society, I've always relied on friends and family when I need a ride or need to borrow a car. Their generosity is critical!

First day of #WeekWithoutDriving was a breeze. I’m glad MPLS is taking strides to make it easier to live car-free.

This yearly event challenges us to put ourselves in the shoes of kids, elders, disabled and justice impacted people who don’t have cars and/or licenses. Join us!

olsenforparks.bsky.social
Incredibly happy to have the endorsement of @aurinmpls.bsky.social and I have worked closely in our first terms. I've seen first hand just how committed she is to the residents of Ward 12. I know that with a progressive park board we'll be able to accomplish a lot together in 2026!!!
