The US is also effectively telling *Venezuelans* to flee Venezuela, because those paramilitary threats apply even more to them. So Trump’s action will likely *increase* the 8 million who’re fled, a small but significant proportion of whom enter the US causing the “problem” he promised to solve

Not sure how many folks are aware that Europeans (Icelandic Norse) resided in Greenland for more than 450 years, from 985 CE to around 1450 CE. The last Grænlendingar were pulling up roots the same time Columbus was teething.
