Writing is strictly a hobby for me. If I start setting goals or deadlines or some other restrictions or rules on it, it takes away the enjoyment I get from it, and then it becomes not a hobby but a chore 🙃

Lighthearted stuff definitely seems to get more kudos. There's always going to be stuff that doesn't resonate as well as the writer might hope, but what annoys me about that particular fic is that it put me off of writing a ship I really loved, and I still haven't been able to circle back to them.
