True story: a few years ago, I was being interviewed by a reporter for the New York Times. I mentioned the history of eviction statutes and how they tied into Jim Crow.
The reporter asked "what's Jim Crow?"
When I explained, the reporter didn't believe me and said the US wouldn't do that.

I’m not on Tik Tok and I do my best (while it’s virtually impossible to avoid) to avoid Chinese products when I can. This isn’t about American politics. Investing time and money in Chinese imports financially and ideologically supports continued abuse of certain demographics in China.
