Portlander here. I didn't even know where the local ICE facility was until federal forces showed up today, and people are now scared to go near the neighborhood because of altercations that might happen *because* of their presence.

After 18 years of loving cuddles, we made our final farewells to Houdini today. He was the most social cat I have ever known. He met guests at the door, visited everyone's laps, and would go under the sink to "help" the plumber. He will be missed. 💔
