from now on if some rando comes out of nowhere just to argue with me uncivilly about harmless shit im just going to block them. trying to have actual conversation with people like that is just exhausting me and it never goes anywhere. go yell at someone who deserves it instead.

I'm sorry buddy ;; Socializing is so hard, especially when neurodivergent

when is it ever MORE polite to speak confidently on an assumption based purely on first glance rather than just having the actual information first lol...

don't you want to make it big?

no. we want to not stress about money so that we can focus on making things and helping the community.

just be able to not stress about sales or trying to get commissions and let it ebb and flow, while being mostly able to pay our end of the bills in the slow months

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

i genuinely love when kids ask what i am gender-wise and i truly don't understand why most adults are like "don't ask that that's so rude 😤😤" like... actually it's pretty considerate. what's rude is when people misgender me and then argue with me when i try to correct them.

in a way it sort of feels like we're being told to make shittier work so our human mistakes are more noticeable lol

and hey on the topic of ID laws

do you really trust Bluesky, whose admin and c-suites physically cannot stop themselves from posting-through-it, to be able to hold onto your fucking govt ID and not leak it in a data breach like Discord?

these policies suck, they are dangerous, call your reps

all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.

i would say at this rate there's no way it's not purposeful, especially if they're banning reporters that *aren't* massive transphobes.

"But they are following similar patterns."

...I need you to understand that the problem with racial slurs is not how they are categorical pejoratives, it's not how they are grammatically leveraged, and it's not how they are reductive. It's that racial slurs malign *inherent qualities* of *people*.

People... are allowed to come up with mean names for inanimate objects. If you compare this practice to racial slurs, I'm going to think you believe people of other races hold the same concrete significance and value as inanimate objects. This is one of those slips that does not look good on anyone.
