Honestly I should’ve made the move from Google/Gmail sooner but better late than never. I’ve had my Gmail for so many years of my life, with emails from my dad & other loved one now gone. But I’ve come to the clear conclusion that those emails can be saved. My loved ones aren’t in those accounts.

I’m having all my emails forwarded to AOL until I can inform everyone of the change. I am not giving business to a company (Google) that actively seek to marginalize minorities and erase national holidays. The audacity is potent and I will act accordingly.

The hardest part about leaving FB behind is the posts from loved ones who are gone. I wish I could transpose their accounts here; I wish I could take them with us. 13 years ago today, my dad, my stepmom and my step brother died. Posts popping up in my “memories” on FB helped me feel close to them.
