A great and timely piece. Solid conclusions. Plus, Sydney Pollack's ingenious Three Days of the Condor is featured, as well as the identification of Funny Farm as Chevy Chase's best film. Also, I love Madolyn Smith too.

So much is disappointing at the least. Horrifying at worst. How about some rockabilly to get us over the hump.

To @anitasagastegui.bsky.social and everyone. I love the way people are referencing Mr. Reiner's wonderful films. Each and every one warranted. But I am noticing the absence of one of my favorites, a film that offers such a contrast to what real life is coughing up today. Thank you for your vision.

@fernyfern.bsky.social This is wonderful wisdom we should take to heart. To Fern, and to us all: Keep being a good person. And chilling.
You can just let people be wrong about you. It literally doesn't matter. It's not your responsibility to make sure everyone's perception of you is correct.

Just be a good person and let them be wrong. It's chill.

This is one of my favorite episodes of television ever. For years, I thought Steven Spielberg directed it. Imagine my surprise that it was the beloved coach himself who guided this masterpiece. Love this.
John Cassavetes guest stars as a ruthless music orchestra conductor who murders a gifted pianist with whom he is having an affair. Lt. Columbo is on the case in the episode “ÉTUDE IN BLACK” (1972) dir. Nicholas Colasanto with co-stars Peter Falk, Bythe Danner and Myrna Loy

I see so much beauty here on a daily basis. Every so often, someone captures something so unique, so distinctive, that it takes my breath away. Thank you for taking my breath away Adrianna.

It astonishes me how beautiful this world can be. How I wish every aspect of it could be this beautiful.

Tonight, we did something everyone counted out. We proved to a nation that states like Tennessee are still worth fighting for. The margin was close, and that can only be attributed to the thousands of volunteers who showed out. This is just the beginning.

Stunday. How appropriate. I can't stop looking at this. The colors at work here are indeed stunning. That line of clouds on the horizon. Amazing. Great job @tenoaks6.bsky.social

This is the first Thanksgiving for Sophie & Colin Hortman without their parents, Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman and Mark Hortman who were assassinated along with the family dog in an act of political murder. National guards troops were not deployed to the state in response.

I love this so much. I learned so much about the world, and the people that inhabit it, through books. I grew up at the edge of a forest and I loved the time I spent in nature. And I loved it when I came home and sat next to the fireplace reading my beloved books.

November 22nd has always had a special meaning for me. I became aware of politics and government when it seemed to be the domain of old, oily, men who reminded me of my elementary school principal. And then I discovered this one. He wasn't perfect, but he showed me a different style. Miss you, JFK.
A real President ……….

Sixty-two years ago today, November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. He was shot while riding in an open-top car and died later at Parkland Hospital. The event, which occurred at 12:30 p.m. CST, was a moment of national tragedy.
