I just want to be clear that not everybody can do this, and it’s not a lack of “civic behavior” to be unable to remove half a foot of ice. This is great for people who can do it, but being stuck in this is not a moral failing. There is, near me, literally nothing to “shovel.”

I shoveled out crosswalks, instead of complaining.
If your neighborhood is also stuck in “snowcrete,” please take the #IceBreakUpChallenge: clear a sidewalk, post a photo.

ICE killing #AlexPretti should remind you of police killing #PhilandoCastille. Both men had concealed weapon permits, did not draw their guns, & were killed in Minn. These homicides are the price of unaccountable policing. These deaths are variations on the same fatal theme.

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

The people who supported the DOJ under Biden/Trump condone child rape. They defended officials who protected child rapists.
Other people saw this as a clear moral horror and condemned the DOJ. That's the actual divide. It's not between parties.
