Ms. Kuyateh was one of 19 third-country nationals sent to Ghana on Nov. 6. At least 61 TCNs have been removed there since September.

Others report similar treatment. Nigerians were forced to cross into Togo w/o documents, rendering them essentially stateless

This Day in Labor History: November 25, 1865. Mississippi created the first of the Black Codes. Designed to recreate slavery in all but name, this signified the South’s resistance to the freeing of their labor force and the lengths to which it would go to tie workers to a place under white control.

I wrote about the fake account blowup on X this weekend. A genuine post-truth nightmare and proof that these companies have polluted their platforms so thoroughly and traded reality for profit that they've undermined the very idea of what the internet is supposed to be.

"Experts now believe that pregnancy can offer a window into a woman’s future health, and can provide valuable information about her long-term risk of heart disease, diabetes, stroke and other cardiovascular conditions."

She reported him missing to Houston police. But instead of reuniting them, the city turned him over to ICE.

This is what I have believed for a while: it will be useful for a fair bit of business writing, which tends to be very bad. But since clear, engaging communication is kind of essential to important human activity, being able to think and write well will continue to be useful.
There’s an uncomfortable emerging consensus that LLMs are highly suited to tasks with low stakes and low quality expectations, which ends up being a decent chunk of business activity, which is why business leaders are forcing everyone else to use it and demanding students graduate as “AI-fluent.”
