that'll really depend from game to game unfortunately. i haven't run into issues with font sizes, but i *also* don't need them super big. you might be able to look up how some specific games look/run though

and copying that over and over loses that because you need something else to make it memorable (such as the friction or the weirder elements, like you said), as well as it being a lot easier to find games willing to target much broader audiences

i think part of it also is that the earlier "cozy games" had part of the memorability for a lot of people be that the concept was more novel on its own, and esp for a lot of women, the novelty of feeling more welcome as part of the target audience compared to most mainstream gaming

Makoto Yukimura was worried that Vinland Saga's farming arc and "I have no enemies" moment was a gamble that readers wouldn't like. I told him about the J. Cole meme from the Kendrick Lamar and Drake rap beef. This is how he reacted.

If “I have no enemies” has become a meme and people remember it, then maybe people will understand what I’m really trying to say through the story, which is that humans are immature, but we can mature. To become mature is to become kind. This is the foundation of what I’m trying to say, but it really has to be much shorter for people to remember. But it does give me hope that people remember these short phrases as memes. Then, one day, it will click in their mind what I was trying to really say in the first place.

i may have finally wrangled godot's resolution system. at least up until i need to test things on a high dpi screen and fight the os again =.=

As much as folks might not want to believe it, artists who sell their work cannot survive exclusively on platforms that cater to primarily other artists. The Circulating The Same Five Dollars™️ model can't feed us or pay bills for long. We need places where we can be seen and discovered.

had to replace my old mouse (several of the buttons were starting to fail a Little Too Much and i dont have time to crack it open and try to fix it) so i picked up a lightweight mouse and it's so disorienting. it's like im holding nothing at all
