I hope it's clear to everyone now that Trump really is going for it - he's trying to become a dictator. I don't know if he'll succeed, but he's working to install himself as an autocrat unaccountable to voters. And he's weaponizing the military against Americans who oppose him as part of that effort

I bought a OnePlus phone for the first time since OP6 and I'm actually really enjoying using it a lot. I wasn't happy when OxygenOS originally became defnotColorOS™ but I think it's pretty on par with Samsung OneUI for how I use my phone rn

The fucking head of fucking XBox Graphics used a fucking "AI" slop image to hire new engineers but couldn't tell that the fucking screen on the fucking monitor is facing backwards.

Maybe my expectations are unreasonably high for humans, but I find it very difficult to imagine thinking this, let alone thinking to publish it. The “savor” speaks volumes.

Okay, maybe that wasn't your primary takeaway from the Times' revelation that a young Mamdani had applied to (and been rejected by) Columbia University as a "black/African-American, but given that it won't have any effect on his likely victorious campaign, it's worth savoring the fact that the man got dinged by a school where his father has tenure as a professor.

My statement on Donald Trump's threat to deport me and his praise for Eric Adams, who the President "helped out" of legal accountability.
The President of the United States just threatened to have me arrested, stripped of my citizenship, put in a detention camp and deported. Not because I have broken any law but because I will refuse to let ICE terrorize our city. His statements don’t just represent an attack on our democracy but an attempt to send a message to every New Yorker who refuses to hide in the shadows: if you speak up, they will come for you. We will not accept this intimidation. That Trump included praise for Eric Adams in his authoritarian threats is unsurprising, but highlights the urgency of bringing an end to this Mayor’s time in City Hall. At the very moment when MAGA Republicans are attempting to destroy the social safety net, kick millions of New Yorkers off of healthcare and enrich their billionaire donors at the expense of working families, it is a scandal that Eric Adams echoes this President’s division, distraction and hate. Voters will resoundingly reject it in November.
