They have made it clear that they believe if they make it awful enough to be trans, people will stop being trans. In service of that, the assault of children is a welcome outcome for them.

When politicians like Trump, or Starmer, say & do transphobic things, parents talk about it in front of kids & then the kids bring it to school.

It’s horrific that these kids are being taught to hate & at such an early age.

It is critical we do not import this into Irish politics:

The way that major healthcare institutions have just decided the rules don't apply when it comes to trans people. Research ethics? Consent? Basic human dignity? Those would just be too inconvenient and it's only a bunch of trannies.

Oslo University Hospital caught using trans patients' journals for research purposes:
- Without the patients' consent to participate in research
- Affecting minors
- 1700 of them
- Taking highly sensitive information from said journals

This is a HUGE breach.

Tidligere i år meldte vi et forskningsprosjekt til redelighetsutvalget ved OUS og UiO.

Nå er forskerne felt for alvorlige brudd på forskningsetiske normer.

Outstanding. I've been very impressed with the Green Party's policy development structures. The results speak for themselves; I'm thinking in particular about the superb trans healthcare policy passed at conference.

I think there's some crossover between this and the foreign policy portfolio, too.
parkesland.bsky.social
As a member, I can say this is on people's radar but we have a lot of work to do to get a policy hashed out. Also, we need new expertise.

@edpoole1975.bsky.social might know more than me.

It's also one of the reasons why I want to see what the UK Green Parties (whether we're talking the Scottish or the England & Wales one) tech policies are, or what they are currently working, whether it's digital sovereignty, misinfo/disinfo, and the like.

Great comparison. Transmisogyny is misogyny, after all.

There's also an element of sunk cost fallacy at play or, more cynically, ass-covering. So many people who are so well-connected are in so deep on the transphobia grift that they've closed ranks. They know if one of them hangs, they all do.

If I were an investigative journalist in the UK (are there any left?), I would be having a good look at the extent to which NHS leadership seems to have allied itself with a fringe medical movement that more or less condones conversion therapy. qnews.com.au/australian-r...

Decades after a much cited study which claimed to 'prove' conversion therapy works for Trans youth, & which underpins claims made in the Cass Review, a now 60 year old Trans person has spoken out about the trauma she suffered during institutionalisation at 10 years old. Another nail in Cass.

It's just the same story over and over. Anytime a group of doctors take an honest look at the Cass Review they realize it's bunk.

The irony is that Cass and her confederates were convinced they were blowing the lid off a major medical conspiracy to trans kids.

Transphobe physicians heal thyselves.

If the EHRC can’t uphold equality for everyone, it’s failing its purpose

We urgently need a public inquiry into whether the EHRC has betrayed its duty

The public has a right to know if the Commission is institutionally transphobic and failing the people it was created to protect

This is how you manufacture consent. Nothing since the SC ruling had required any of this, but GCs insist that people illegally misinterpret it for their own personal discriminatory agenda.

There. Is. No. Trans. Ban.

(yet)
Trans ban is being ignored, say swimmers
The Sunday Telegraph5 Oct 2025By Blaise Cloran and
SWIMMERS have accused the City of London Corporation (CLC) of failing to ban trans women entering Hampstead ladies’ pond, in defiance of equality laws.

They have criticised the corporation after it opened a consultation on allowing trans women into the single-sex ponds. This is despite the Supreme Court’s ruling in April that the word “sex” in the Equality Act refers to biological sex and not a person’s self-identified gender.

Swimmers say the ruling was clear and trans women, who are biological men, should be banned from the pond immediately. The consultation is due to run until Nov 25.

Out of curiosity, what are the 1780s organizing models that you think are worth looking at, specifically?
parkesland.bsky.social
Indeed. There's no plausible comprehensive account that doesn't involve questioning whether Corbyn's Labour really had an antisemitism 'crisis', or that the money and elite collusion behind rise of transphobia, or the possible law breaking in Labour selection contests. Powderkegs upon powderkegs.
parkesland.bsky.social
If they said it out loud it would obligate them to try to provide an explanation for that huge step. Doing so would involve levelling some extremely uncomfortable accusations against their confederates in the legacy press.
