Language hack - When talking about "autism", replace autism with "tall" and see if it makes sense:

"The tall community has opinions about new tall research that came out recently, about the increased risk of tall."

Now write it correctly, using tall, and then replace "tall" with "autistic".

It seems pretty clear to me now: Keir Starmer would rather lose to Reform than to the Labour left, which is his real enemy. Any policy that might recover lost ground with voters has to be struck down, as it looks like a concession to the Labour left. And he and his team cannot contemplate that.

Our statement on the ceasefire in Gaza. 🔽

For two years, Western governments have been complicit in a genocide which has been livestreamed to people around the world in all its brutality. It is widely estimated that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been killed, whilst millions have faced engineered starvation by the Israeli regime.

We welcome this deal as the first step on the path to ending the genocide, but let’s be clear: the struggle for freedom for all Palestinians continues. Peace cannot endure without the immediate end of apartheid, ethnic cleansing and illegal land grabs by Israel.

At Labour Conference, on demonstrations and at the TUC, Labour members and trade unions have made clear their deeply felt opposition to Israeli genocide and apartheid, and have called for sanctions and a full arms embargo. Keir Starmer must now act to push any temporary ceasefire towards a just and lasting political settlement, respecting the rights of all.

Oh, and we should remember that DSM-5 'symptoms' are observations, but then (NT) people go on to *interpret* these observations, asserting their own imaginary fantasies of how autism works, or is caused. All 🐄💩, of course. 🤷‍♂️

One interesting thing in this arena: there is no definition of autism, that I can find. None. There are lots of things that list DSM-5 diagnostic signals (often called "symptoms"), that can be observed by an external (NT) observer. But nowhere can I find a description of what autism *IS*. 😓

Panel 2- The same child, now a teenager, is being told, "You'll change your mind when you're older." To which the teen responds, "I doubt that"

Panel 3- Now an adult, someone off screen asks them, "Aren't you thinking of having kids?" To which they respond, "Nope"

Panel 4- The same person, an older adult now, is being told, "better have kids soon, or it'll be too late!" to which they respond, "That's fine"

#AuDHD is not so much of a burden that I wouldn't bring my kids into that world. That's like saying we need a 'cure' (i.e. we need exterminating), isn't it? 🤔
