The salami tactics described here are very real, not just for the States but everywhere. Already the U.S. is descending into a dictatorship. Authoritarianism is upon us, one small step more, democracy is snuffed out. This is tragic.

Democracy may not be backing down, but the real threat still sits in the White House. He has openly admitted that he sees both houses to be an insignificance and he is actively encouraging the shutdown and any swearing in of new Democrat representatives. This is democracy in meltdown.
