I recently watched black phone. Mediacore suspense at best. I grew up on Hitchcock and movies such as hush hush sweet Charlotte and whatever happened to Baby Jane. I miss quality suspenseful thrillers which are rare these days

Love Rear Window
Grace Kelly in all her absurdly, non practical but gorgeous outfits… um,um!
Also seeing Raymond Burr as a heavy is fun!

Hitchcock's Psycho affected me so much so that I didn't shower with my eyes closed for quite some time. Watch Wizard of Oz every year!

Any movie in which Judy Garland sings is sent from heaven, same as the ones in which Fred Astaire dances. There are much greater movies, but those were wonderful gifts.

I watch many of the Alfred Hitchcock TV reruns while I’m living in the South for the winter. Love all his films.

For me, it’s always impossible to determine his best. My favorite has always been North by Northwest, but the three with Jimmy Stewart … the two you mentioned along with The Man Who Knew Too Much … are simply amazing. He was the unsurpassed master of the genre! ❤️

Watched Rear Window last night. TCM It is superb . I never get tired of it . Every time I watch it I see something I didn’t see or hear the first time.. Hitch at his best. He should have won an Oscar.

I loved rear window. Can't tell you how many times I have seen it on the small screen. The a couple of year ago, there was a theatre in Times Square that rereleased it, it was wonderful.

I always loved North by Northwest, it was shot so beautifully. After that To Catch a Thief, Dial M for Murder&Rear Window are equal favorites. The Hitchcock masterpiece everybody forgets about is Rebecca. That film was a stand out amongst his works. Side note-Charade by Stanley Donen.

Who are you and why have we never met? I completely agree. Rear Window is absolute perfection followed by Vertigo, which is near perfection and then number 3 for me is Douglas Sirk’s All That Heaven Allows.

Can’t disagree there.

Ever watch Chris Marker’s film “La Jetée” or “12 Monkeys” starring Bruce Willis? Because they both connect back to Vertigo 😉

While I maintain that Vertigo is Hitchcock's best, I can understand why someone would dislike it.

Rear Window, on the other hand, is that rare perfection where I can't comprehend how someone couldn't enjoy it. Godfather 1 (even if 2 is better) and Wizard of Oz are other examples of this.
