Lots of people trying to find a way to deal with Elon's shameless lie abt amount of fraud in social security. We need to jump beyond shame--bc it won't work, IMO--and get to instrumentality, which is this.
One SSA employee tells me that DOGE has admitted it has no interest in improving Social Security—just in gutting the agency to save money. This will result in the failure to distribute benefits, insiders tell me.
