"To all the teachers, I would like to say—believe in us! Please don’t assess [autistic] potential based entirely on our outward behavior or what we may not be able to say verbally. There is a lot more under the surface than you might initially see" -Sid Ramaswamy, at TPGA:

the least shocking thing in the epstein files that wont get enough attention. police regularly arrest and charge victims to coerce them into participating, often jailing them in conditions that are worse.
jesus the Palm Beach Police really sought arrest warrants against underage Epstein victims for coming forward and cooperating, and (purported) admitting to crimes, and it caused the victims to become uncooperative with the federal investigation

Keep digging, everyone.

Having spoken with a dev affiliated with Critical Reflex, there's a lot of rot under the surface.
With Critical Reflex being such a major player in the indie space, these accusations of covered up sexual harassment and unfair labour practices are all deeply disappointing and distressing. I hope this all gets tackled quickly and decisively.

We are only at the beginning of the "enshittification" process, which will develop over time. Doctorow himself has already written about this. Bluesky has shareholders. Nobody invests without expecting a financial return.

As a journalist, I can guarantee that history tends to repeat itself.

To be honest given that The Game Awards completely axed and abandoned the whole Future Class program when the alumni organized to demand the show acknowledge Palestinian genocide, it's IMMENSELY embarassing how many people in our industry still support it, attend it, or even give it the time of day.
