I ordered a phone last week -- I had to, mine is shutting down without warning. They didn't have it in stock, so they said they would ship it. I live in a building with 48 apartments. I came home to find a fed ex "sorry we missed you!" sticker on the door -- with no name on it. Is it for me? WTH.

My mother has refused getting her dinner because "I'm waiting until he's dead". I was baffled but obviously she's watching a murder mystery. "Death has priority!"

I couldn't wrap my brain around the idea that Julia Louis-Dreyfus wasn't Jewish. I couldn't. At all. That hair. She looks like us.

There are so many reasons to be angry about the failure of some Americans to protect us from Trump.
One small, indulgent, personal reason is that Dems are passionate about public transit, and I spent 5 hours on the Pennsylvania turnpike today. There ought to be a fast train between Pgh and Philly.

But Joe Biden didn't recognize George Clooney at a crowded party, so democracy had to die, and hundreds of thousands of immigrants (or people who *look* like immigrants) had to be abducted, and fishermen murdered in the ocean, and vaccines had to end, and historic monuments destroyed.

Just stumbled upon this snippet. In Hakata there's a festival in which sacred floats are carried to Kushida Shrine. The view to the sky should not be obscured while on the way, so the overhead expressways the floats go under have "cloud" written on them.
