This was only the second national forest I had ever camped in so it has special memories. My dog pictured here is now watching over me from above .. We hiked about an 8 mile section of the Florida Trail. Lovely experience. #ParkChat

A friend of ours and strong supporter of #ParkChat Todd Arrington left his position as director of the Eisenhower Library in Abilene, #Kansas this week after a dispute with the current administration. We are deeply saddened how this fine man was treated.

I set up our camp differently according to the seasons.
The camper is our bedroom.
The canopy is our living room/kitchen. We spend all our time outdoors as you might expect 😄👊 We love our camplife.

These pics are a year apart on the same trail in Talladega National Forest! In 2022 I had just rescued my dog ..We had been camping in Talladega National Forest for a week when I was finally able to take her on a short hike.. We bonded so fast on that walk.. Then we came back in 2023! #ParkChat
