After publishing this article, I've heard from many that CR seems to be using AI to produce dub CCs. Now, thanks to a slip-up CR had with episode 6 dub of The Banished Court Magician, we can say that with 100% certainty: Crunchyroll is using the AI service Ollang.com for its dub closed captions!

This has been bothering me a lot lately, but on a broader scope. People are afraid to be original. Critiques are all the same, jokes are copy/pasted, opinions use a handful of buzzwords that don't actually describe anything. It's like drowning in a sea of masks that all wear the same face.
One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.

LRP I'm much past Destiny 2 for many reasons at this point but being told "Oh, just watch a youtube playlist that goes over it/eh it wasn't that interesting anyways so why do you care" in regards to its like basically tens if not hundreds of hours of missing content was always like. Huh???

the whole "don't play the game, just watch a video on youtube that will explain its story to you" is so disheartening because the issue of accessibility is genuinely really important but it's always just people who want to be spoon-fed nicely quantifiable information
