Turns out that blacksky is open to anyone, but they have one soecific server which is set up specifically for black users.
I’m not going to mess people around jumping over again rn though. I’ll keep hoping Northsky sets up soon.

the blacksky feed and blacksky.app will always remain exclusively for black users, however

Awful news from Wales, the St Fagan's Museum has been broken into and prehistoric goldwork has been taken. Its painful to think what objects might now be at risk. Thoughts with the museum team who must be devastated, all speed to the police and a curse on the crooks.

Northsky is in the process of being set up. And it’s a trans friendly attachment to bsky so you can follow all the same people & keep in touch with everyone but not be in a place with authoritarian sympathising mods.

The moderation and ownership are really really antitrans, anti sex worker and anti Palestinian. The nice thing about this is that it’s not a proper move because it’s attached to bluesky so it’s more a case of just making sure I have followed everyone I need to.

In an update, Greater Manchester Police says that two victims of yesterday's attack have been found to have gunshot wounds.

The statement in full from the chief constable:

"The Home Office Pathologist has advised that he has provisionally determined, that one of the deceased victims would appear to have suffered a wound consistent with a gunshot injury," a statement reads.

"It is currently believed that the suspect, Jihad Al Shamie, was not in possession of a firearm and the only shots fired were from GMP's Authorised Firearms Officers as they worked to prevent the offender from entering the synagogue and causing further harm to our Jewish community. It follows therefore, that subject to further forensic examination, this injury may sadly have been sustained as a tragic and unforeseen consequence of the urgently required action taken by my officers to bring this vicious attack to an end.

tbh, I don’t know American politicians well enough to comment (especially democrat ones: the major Republican wankers like Vance, Musk, Miller, and Trump have made themselves obvious enough), though it did surprise me. I just assumed they knew more than I did.

Someone put me on a list called “Blue MAGA” and I’m fascinated, because (a) it seems very unlikely, (b) I’m not American, and (c) I’m a member of the Green Party of E&W which is neither blue nor has any interest in making America great, unless it be by conforming to global net-zero agreements.
