Not just musicians and not just creative "block" - "touch grass," "meet new people," "go talk to somebody," etc. are universal balms. Get out into society and outdoors and away from media. Even in the worst times (circa: now), IRL interaction with the world is an ever-ready balm!

If you’re having writers block as a composer, producer, songwriter, etc I highly suggest you go out field recording for the afternoon on a Saturday instead of locking yourself in the shed.

you should spend a day gathering sounds for the sake of themselves without any intention of how you might use them in the future, it’s not wooey or esoteric to find inspiration in recording environmental sound even well after the fact.
