Interesting way to find out you're getting a big raise, right? Right...?

Bucking tradition is putting ketchup on a hot dog in Chicago not sending in another state’s national guard troops to wander around a city and state that has explicitly said, “we do not want you to do that.”

President Trump is bucking tradition and legal precedent in pushing to deploy the National Guard to Democratic-led cities like Portland, Oregon, and Chicago due to what he says is rampant crime and to support his crackdown on illegal immigration.

You make up that time with more Champagne. Champagne time dilation.

But what did your dog do while you were busy with all that?
petchmo.bsky.social
If that happens I cannot promise the Petchenik children will not make their way to your home.

Just standing in Target patiently explaining to 8b why they can’t purchase a fart cannon, even if they use their own money. How’s your Sunday going?

I'm not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, but I just don't like these giant ear wings.

British Airways getting an updated Premium Economy hard product coming first to the 787-9. Look at those wing flaps. Massive.

Spirit Airlines has filed documents with the bankruptcy court to reject 87 (!!) aircraft leases — 19 A320ceos, 65 A320neos (71% of its 320neo fleet) and 3 A321neos.

That would leave the airline with just 127 planes (down from 214 in August) if approved.

On this week’s AvTalk we dig into the evolution of the air cargo industry with Eliska Hill of Air Partner. Elsewhere, things get worse for Air Greenland in Nuuk, Boeing thinks about maybe developing a new airplane, and a whale of a mystery.

Here you go Lufthansa, fixed it for you.
A modified version of Lufthansa’s recently publicized wide-body fleet reduction chart. In the original there are 13 existing aircraft types and 9 types in 2030, including the 777X. In this version, a question mark has been added to the 777-9 entry and the 9 types changed to 8.

At Anchorage(ANC) today, a Kalitta 747-400BCF (N745CK) suffered a failure of its #4 hydraulic system which caused the main right wing gear to not deploy. All are safe but the aircraft remains stricken on the runway. The airport remains operational @airlineflyer.net @avherald.com @petchmo.bsky.social

Of course, we’re going to be civil about this, for the airplanes. And please refer to Splort for the snack schedule, but make sure you’re also using Teamlistr for the most up to date roster and list of allergies.

Boeing can issue airworthiness certificates every other weekend and on Wednesday nights. FAA and Boeing will also alternate Christmas and Thanksgiving each year. As the airplanes get older, they’ll be able to decide who they want their airworthiness certificate from.

Alternating weeks!?!?!

There was a bit a few years back about airlines wanting A320neo planes from Europe, not Mobile, because of concerns about quality as the new plant got up to speed. Ditto Everett/Charleston.

Imaging only wanting a plane inspected/certified in even or odd weeks, though.

NEWS: FAA confirms this AM's @wsj.com report, saying that it will allow "limited delegation" to Boeing to issue its own airworthiness certificates on some 737 MAXs & 787s.

This would be the first time Boeing has done so since in 2019 for the Max and 2022 for the Dreamliner.

On AvTalk, we break down the near disaster in Nice where a landing Nouvelair A320 came within feet of an easyJet A320.

And we get a schnitzel-stop tour from @airlineflyer.net & @photojdl.bsky.social of low-cost options across the Atlantic and within Europe. www.flightradar24.com/blog/avtalk-...

Just the latest strange turn in the history of 9H-MIP, which was supposed to be the first Global "Airlines" A380.

To note also: it will also need an entirely new cabin of business class seats, because the ex-Singapore ones are Koito and have exceeded their EASA grandfathered safety period.

1. An airport
2. The woods

We’ve ordered a few things from ABT Electronics over the years, and their service has been top notch. Yesterday, we went in person because our freezer is dying…and HO 👏🏼 LEE 👏🏼SHIT. I feel like I was both in the past and the future at the same time. What an amazing place.
