Positive actions this week: join or form a local group that supports and protects immigrants, BIPOC, LGBTQ+. Start or join a food bank, community farm, trade union. Register to vote and run for office.
This is not propaganda from US imperialists or the deep state or Zionists or I do not know from whom the fuck. This is what idiot tankies support. This is Russian fascist terror.

They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

the most dire and unfortunately realistic interpretation of this whole, netflix buying WB thing, is that they're doing it to force WB to effectively freeze all production for about 2 years while they hash this out in antitrust court.

WB won't be able to compete by making anything for 2 years

maybe given the current political situation, finding things about which to say “the president has a point” is not only not a good look but actively bad and fucked up? Maybe maybe resist the impulse to say “well I agree with this chump” and find something else to talk about instead?

In the 4.5-mile bike ride to pick up my kids from school, I found the following in painted bike lanes: at least 6 trash bins, a parked car, a parked firefighter truck (likely lunch break), and a parked city maintenance vehicle. This is unacceptable, and another reason why paint is not infrastructure

The OSCE was established to keep war away from Europe.

Yet, Russia blatantly violates international law and OSCE principles.

The EU will stay the course.
Only more pressure on Russia and more support to Ukraine will change the balance.

Medicare for All Disappeared. Its Popularity Didn’t.
The demand for Medicare for All went from the center of the discourse to political exile in record time. But the policy's popularity never faded. A new poll finds strong majority support for the neglected idea among Americans across the political spectrum.
