This is happening in Chicago. If you’re not familiar with the South Shore neighborhood, it’s about 3 miles from where the Obamas still have a home. They had their wedding reception in the South Shore Cultural Center (my parents too).

Chicagoans are preparing a rapid-response protest in case Trump deploys the National Guard. If troops arrive before 3pm, it triggers a same-day 5pm protest. If after 3pm, they’ll meet at 5pm the next day. This is a great blueprint for every city Trump threatens.

The central bank of the largest economy on the planet is no longer independent. Markets aren’t MAGA. They can’t be manipulated so easily. They will react (eventually) to this foolishness.
