In the village of Ehrenstein in southern Germany, #Neolithic limestone discs adorned with incised lines are a common find. These discs featured a striking black and white contrast, achieved by filling the incisions with dark birch pitch. They measured up to 12 centimeters in diameter. 🧵 1/2

Rail use heading back towards pre COVID levels (now around how they were in 2018). But rail subsidies reduced by Reeves. And the bus fare cap increases by 50% and the fuel tax untouched for 15 years. War on cars though.
