A while back, Kelly & I each wrote 26 movie titles on slips of paper and put them in a jar. We draw a random slip when we want to watch a movie together.

After ANNIHILATION last night, we've watched 30. Exactly 15 titles were selected by each of us, which is both perfect and a little unnerving.

I mean, IANAL, but I think there's a pretty decent argument that birthright citizenship is more explicitly constitutional than judicial review.

Hey, last year our schools shut down for a week when the water system broke down. They said it was snow, but I'm absolutely willing to believe raccoons were responsible.
The Ashland, Virginia liquor store racoon was in Pop Culture Happy Hour's 'What's Making us Happy' we've made it. Also the locality where that happened posted this yesterday. (It's a snow day, they aren't closed for raccoon reasons)

Trying to keep track of everything I'm currently boycotting.

Chick-Fil-A
Wal-Mart
Target
Home Depot
Salvation Army
Twitter
New York Times
Washington Post

I'm trying not to use Amazon, though that's occasionally necessary, and I'm still not inclined to use Exxon (thank you, Valdez).

So yeah, if you're represented by a Republican in a district that was carried by less than 20 points, tomorrow would be a good day to call and demand that the ACA subsidies continue.
The good news is Republicans in Congress are shitting their pants right about now

Just another night in the RVA metro.
The masked burglar broke into the closed Virginia liquor store early on Saturday and hit the bottom shelf. The bandit was something of a nocturnal menace: bottles were smashed and alcohol pooled on the floor.

The suspect acted like an animal because, in fact, he's a raccoon.
Raccoon goes on drunken rampage in Virginia liquor store and passes out on bathroom floor
A raccoon broke into a closed Virginia liquor store and drank alcohol from the bottom shelves over the weekend.

America: Did you order the code Red?

Hegseth: YOU’RE GODDAM RIGHT I DID!

America: Uhm, it’s a crime.

Hegseth: Ok, someone else ordered the Code Red.

Blanchett is hard to argue with.

On the other hand, Alan Rickman gets you Die Hard, Galaxy Quest, Truly Madly Deeply, Sense & Sensibility, Sweeney Todd, Bob Roberts, An Awfully Big Adventure, Michael Collins, Dogma, and Love Actually, plus Alice and whole bunch of Potters.
This is a Bill Simmons game, but you’re stranded on a desert island. You can only have one actor’s filmography. You get it all, including cameos. But just the one performer.

I’m taking Cate Blanchett: Talented Mr. Ripley, LOTR, Life Aquatic, Black Bag, Tár, Ponyo, Hot Fuzz, Eyes Wide Shut, Thor

About 29 years ago, our school took a field trip to DC to see ARCADIA at Arena Stage, and I went as a chaperone. When I got home, I bought two more tickets on my own dime so my wife could see it as well.

It was, simply put, the best play I'd ever seen.

That opinion has not changed.

RIP, Sir Tom.

Some months back, we persuaded my parents to purchase a Roku, though they didn't subscribe to anything.

Tonight, after scrolling through 200+ satellite channels and complaining that nothing was on, my mom let slip that she has an Amazon membership.

And their Roku remote has a Prime button.
