I plan to take it I’m not going to be in a place not wanted to be treated like crap, if the unions were so strong thus would be stopped but my supervisors are unsure what is happening and scared for their jobs

Way to go. Although I can retire, I have told family I am going to wait to see how it goes. If I am fired then AFGE can sue and eight years later when we win I collect back pay. work a week and then retire. Looks like my timeline matches your experience so far.
Not necessarily. There are steps non-union government employees can take to delay being fired until trump is out of office. I am proof. I was "removed" by the trump administration in 2019, and my trial isn't until 2026. I will be issuing more advice for federal employees who want to keep their jobs.
