100 days in, we're about to send yet another reasonable #PABudget to the #PaSenate. Meanwhile, the School District of Philadelphia is desperate, and the WOAR rape crisis center has had to suspend service. It’s time to put Pennsylvanians first & for the #SenateGOP to get serious and do their job!

I know we're all used to the president talking like Livia Soprano all the time, but this is a goddamn outrage

It's been two weeks since Adelita Grijalva was elected and Mike Johnson has still refused to seat her, unlike in past cases where he swore in new members within 24 hours.

There cannot be one set of rules for Rs and another for Ds.

Also, release the damn Epstein files already.

A Rutgers professor has been forced to flee the country for his safety, after targeting by a far-right student group that was *checks notes* claiming they felt unsafe.

I'm horrified.
I'm angry.

ICE is using your tax dollars to target children.

A child in my district was deported days before the start of the school year.

We are demanding answers on why K-12 students are being arrested and whether the Department of Education is fulfilling their obligations to students in custody.
Representatives Ocasio-Cortez, Espaillat, and Goldman lead a letter demanding transparency on ICE detention of school-aged children. Letter signed by Representatives Ocasio-Cortez, Espaillat, Goldman, Clarke, Latimer, Meeks, Meng, Nadler, Tonko, Torres, and Velázquez.

After being flat funded in the state budget for the last five years, Pennsylvania’s rape crisis centers were already on the verge of collapse.

As the #PABudget impasse enters its fourth month, many of these critical support centers are considering closing: penncapital-star.com/commentary/p...

It's outrageous that school districts are forced to take on debt + interest because the #PAbudget is 3+ months late. I appreciated the opportunity to speak with 34th Street about PA's expensive & unaccountable charter schools www.34st.com/article/2025...

Pennsylvania still doesn't have a budget in part because Senate Republicans are resisting badly needed reforms of charter school funding. Every PA'ian should want to fix what I've long said is the most costly and corrupt system of charter accountability in the US. www.34st.com/article/2025...

Updating this chart because the prior version is out of date. With Mike Johnson refusing to convene the House, the soonest Democrat Adelita Grijalva can get sworn in—and provide the 218th signature to force a vote on the Epstein files—is now three weeks after winning the #AZ07 special election.

🚨THIS IS A BIG DEAL. Chicago journalists are suing the Trump administration for using excessive force against reporters & protestors in violation of the 1A.
The press here is doing astounding work documenting how ICE is out of control. The violence they face in doing so is obscene.
The protests at the Broadview ICE facility and the federal government’s violent
attempts to silence the protesters became a story of great interest to the local Chicago media and
was also covered in the national press. Much of the coverage described the federal officers’
abusive tactics. Defendants sought and are seeking to quash this coverage by attacking and
intimidating members of the Press on the ground there.
85. Federal immigration officers at the Broadview ICE facility have repeatedly and
intentionally singled out persons whom they know to be members of the Press for violence,
assault, and intimidation. These assaults are not incidental or unintentional. They are undertaken
by design to intimidate journalists on scene and to frustrate and suppress coverage of the federal
officers’ actions toward protesters and immigration detainees

ICE admits that up to 50% of arrests in its Chicago raids are "collateral.” These aren't statistics. They are parents taken from their children, neighbors taken from our communities. When does a "collateral" U.S. citizen child's trauma matter? This isn't law enforcement; it's a campaign of terror.
