As the backlash to generative AI in video games continues to pick up steam heading into 2026, it'll be fascinating to see what is considered "made with generative AI." Can a dev team say they're not using AI if they're writing design docs with Copilot or using chatGPT to make schedules and budgets?

Funny animal videos no longer being trustworthy just fucking sucks all around. I love the wonder of animal behavior and what it says about the experience of being alive. It's because it happened in reality that it's so fun. It's not fun if it was just made up. There's no wonder there.

Larian already burned my goodwill ages ago when they bent the knee to shitty fandom wishes and couldn't refrain from touching BG3 (and making it worse and worse of a game). So its really not a hard sell for me to already look down on them for this AI shit.
