We went out in the middle of the storm on Saturday morning because we decided we wanted pancakes or to bake something. Our grocery store on 5th Ave in Park Slope was open like it was a normal weekend.

Hopefully I will not need to go out on Monday morning to confirm but I expect the markets in my neighborhood will be open.

I don’t think any of the stores in my neighborhood even close for storms. The deli across from my old apartment in Park Slope stayed open during Sandy.
