Titanfall 2's campaign is nothing short of a masterpiece, and what a gift it was for all of us.

Such heart, incredible design, impeccable mechanics.

Nearly ten years later it more than holds up, it remains arguably the pinnacle of the genre.

If you've never played it, please do so.

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

If giving tax breaks to people to buy multiple houses was likely to push house prices down, then buying houses would be a pretty crap investment and no one would do it.

Who wants to buy an asset that government policy is going to lower the value of?

Astounded by the blinkered hot takes on LinkedIn about the social media ban. Typically loving the classic form "we need to do something; this is something; therefore this is good" but adding a dose of "I haven't seen anyone else offering better ideas" which shows they haven't been paying attention.

So now it isn't theoretical that personal data might be leaked because of age verification laws. It's happened. And we also have a solid swathe of our media that is so in love with the idea of these laws they're not fussed about the consequences of a little old age verification data breach.

So. To recap. Discord, a company NOT included in Australia's social media age restriction law, had its age verification partner breached and leaked around 68,000 Australian PII details. Even though it isn't included in the ban. Which hasn't started yet. Such a great start before we've even started.
