I have finally seen a PAX indie demo where there is a questionnaire on the demo so you can give feedback. Yes! People don’t want to say out loud what they didn’t like to your face. Let them say it quietly. 🤫 #PAXAus

This is not designed to be a comfortable daily ride. I guess I am a user and not a program.
The author lies uncomfortably on a futuristic motorcycle, or light cycle, from Tron. It has a massive front wheel and red lights trimming its edges. A red wall sits to the right. Seriously, he looks uncomfortable.

New from 404 Media: the Discord hack is every users' worst nightmare. Yesterday the hackers started posting Discord users' selfies, identity documents, email addresses, phone numbers, more. I watched in real time. This is risk of tech storing ID for age verification

I remember predicting Diablo for mobile as a good path given ARPG mobile games were getting good. I really didn’t expect such hatred for the idea - that it would somehow detract from the franchise was crazy. I now expect WoW console would get a similar reaction.

Of course you did say “playable” so yes you are correct.

I’ve never tried it but there is controller support already. I do imagine the struggle would be very real though given the UI is not designed for it (yet).

There are so many clever industry-related panels on the PAX schedule this year that I've made an index! These are my best picks to help anyone who still wants to throw themselves into the fire. There's a little advice sprinkled in for good measure, but I am by no means the expert.

I can hear and smell these pictures. (Game Worlds is great!)
A yellow wall in an exhibition is filled with photographs from 1990s LAN parties. Old monitors, blue cables, and ‘90s vibes abound.

Refuelling in Albury. Halfway there!
Two men sit in a McDonalds eating sad fast food. They are looking at the camera and are kind of smiling but also clearly tired.

We had a tech lead do that at Gizmodo back in the day. Managed to delete the content database in the process and had disappeared to a gig in the meantime. It was also the night of The Lizzies and we won an award while our site was down. Guess who didn’t have a job by lunch time Monday?
