I'm going to get ahead of some uninformed outrage. The second-degree murder charges against Vance Boelter are all that can be brought against him *right now.* Prosecutors can charge him with first-degree premeditated murder, but that requires a grand jury indictment, not just a criminal complaint.

Today in history, 1953: Jackie Cochran becomes the first woman to break the sound barrier, flying an F-86 Sabre borrowed from the Royal Canadian Air Force. At her death in 1980, Cochran held more speed and distance records than any pilot — male or female.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

Just so I am keeping everything straight…the government can’t tell you to wear a mask because FREEDOM!!!!, but it can decide you are a “terrorist” and send you to a foreign gulag without due process and throw away the key.

That right?

Trump signed an executive order that will delay Medicare price negotiations for a range of prescription drugs.

This will raise the price of life-saving medicine for millions of seniors and cost taxpayers money.

It's a big win for Big Pharma.

A "new Golden Age" for whom?

Even if you (wrongly) believe that some immigrants lack due process rights, what’s to stop the government from claiming that *you* are an undocumented immigrant; removing you to El Salvador; citing an “administrative error”; and refusing to do anything to bring you back?

The answer is due process.

Criminals deserve due process because due process is literally how we determine whether someone is, *in fact*, a criminal

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.
