Seriously, no, for lots of reasons.
1. Our current Govt spending on pensions is low compared to most other advanced economies. And... [1/n]

Graph of public pension costs as % of GDP for OECD countries in 2021 (latest data). NZ is lower quartile at around 5.1%. OECD average is 7.8%. Plenty of Euro countries are around 10% or above.

Superannuitants are a burden our Super system can't afford. Like jobs or any income for young people, healthcare for the sick, housing the homeless or pay equity. All unaffordable.

These are the tough choices needed to protect our vulnerable ultra wealthy.

This sounds like our current problem with Labour in Aotearoa. We know that National are terrible economically for the majority and BRILLIANT for the tiny minority…labour are bland at best for the majority and still the fuck owned by donors.
Greens at least have real tax and equality policies.

It's not that "the left" is too focused on pronouns. It's that the closest thing to leftists in power (Democrats) are only left-leaning when it comes to self-expression rights. They are bought by corporate money and completely refuse to when discuss leftist economic solutions.

I think fascism is often stupid, because it always involves a very simplistic idea of how the world is, how to fix problems, and how people react to control. It's all superficial. Hegseth is a perfect example of this. He wants everyone to look and behave right, nothing deep or substanative.

Sadly plausible. On that - if I were Hipkins, I’d travel everywhere with Craig Renney. I would be quoting his good sense and clear facts every-time I opened my mouth and would be proudly encouraging Union membership and collective bargaining - democracy’s belt and braces.

I am also reminded (bet she knew the reference) of sending the “early party” of “phone sanitisers” off to set up the new planet …..but I think billionaire will be a perfect substitute - charge them their “earthy possessions” to go to space. Be awesome
