I’m gonna say it but, coming from a lesbian, I absolutely hate that feminist retellings of stories tend to make the men absolute dick bags. I get it, men suck! But genuinely if you have to make the men look bad in order for your book to make sense, maybe your book wasn’t feminist to begin with.
