The immediate reaction I had to this was "Her hair was so long, and he had to climb so far, that he either got tired or lost his grip, and fell to his death - and she was so forlorn that she wasted away on the balcony." It's creepy as fuck and also sadly, hopelessly romantic but CREEPY AS FUCK.

Still boosting commissions hard & my medical leave fundraiser. My phone was shut off yesterday bc I couldn't pay the bill & I have to get groceries too. I hate that I need help but I do. I don't go back to work until Oct 13th & been off since Sept 15th. Reposts help a lot & deeply appreciated.

It is for this reason that conservatives wanted to dismantle it for decades. I grew up on Sesame Street, and the cognitive dissonance of my mother saying "you should watch this show, it's good and educational" while disparaging non-whites behind closed doors was jarring in my childhood.
I really mourn old school Sesame Street for this reason.
It taught a generation of kids that urban life could be rich and and playful, and that dense, diverse community can be rich and meaningful in ways that suburban nuclear family life usually isn't
