Both the "Continue" button and the "Try it now" button do *the same thing* in what is the clearest example of a dark pattern I've ever seen. Imagine someone is getting metrics about the "number of Google Docs users who are using AI" and all the numbers are total bullshit.
An interface in Google Docs with two buttons about trying to use the Gemini AI. One is "continue" and is in a light color that implies it is a negative choice. The other is "Try it now" in a bright blue color that implies it is the "positive" choice.

It's got less spyware. It doesn't have a subscription. It has buttons. It generally works and if not is easier to repair. It's not as easy to get hacked. They don't get constant pop ups and ads.

They're fucking right too. Tech has just become rent seeking bloatware.
