In a way, I find the authoritarian takeover of our media system even more disturbing than the authoritarian takeover of our political system.
Our political system has been failing basically my entire adult life. But, the media system provided accountability and sort of worked. Now it’s collapsing.

I'm glad there's finally a concession that we weren't given a choice in this past election. Democrats have been running on voting against Trump/Republicans since 2016. And while I'm certain this last election was stolen by Trump and Elon etc, as @imanibarbarin.bsky.social says, fear only works once.

In my 20 some odd years in the IT / Cybersecurity industry, not once has a major outage been a "Cyber Attack" In fact more often than not it turns out to be some DNS misconfiguration.
