As an interesting corollary, I used to work for a 480 year old organisation and you could go and read the bound copies of the minutes from council meetings all the way back to its beginnings.

Trail of Cthulhu did it by giving PCs “drives” - specifically the reason why they have to investigate the danger.

Of course, players have to lean into the conceit of a game.

I’ve run the Dead White World once and it was a blinder. One of my favourite Cthulhu scenarios ever.

Purist is brilliant for one shot and convention games IMO.

I can see how a campaign would be harder though. Difficult to keep them alive enough!

I’ve won a dancing competition doing the Argentine Tango (Tesco Does Strictly in 2013, raising money for Alzheimer’s Society)

I think I’m in the same boat. I don’t mind smallish spaces but I couldn’t do some of that caving (like the infamous cheese press!)
