When I was homeless in 2019, the Salvation Army shelter refused to give me a bed (even though they were available), because I was on immunosuppressant meds and they didn’t want to be responsible or liable if I got more sick or died on premises. They’d rather I die on the street.
It’s dinner time for the police. Appears to be pizza from a Salvation Army van.

Fun fact about the Salvation Army: they use a form of substance use treatment called work therapy. Oh, and by treatment, I mean they have people who have been convicted of drug charges work for their stores & warehouses in exchange for room, board, around a $1 a week, and minimal actual therapy.

Admittedly, I can tell he's beginning to pull himself out of some really bad burnout and I can tell he's beginning to recover, which is good!
But unfortunately he's in that I Am Prioritizing Myself Fuck You stage of burnout recovery right now and I don't have the patience for it.
