I thought you should know that in 2024 New Jersey, Minnesota, Illinois, California, and Maryland have all enacted legislation that bans book bans & censorship in both, school and public libraries, and protects librarians.

I have always loved public libraries, but having young children has exponentially increased my gratitude and sense of indebtedness to them. Our local library is such a huge part of our lives. The books, the programming, the very intentionally curated kids’ section. It’s all such a gift.

This is my first quoted post on BlueSky. I am figuring this newish platform out and trying to extract and save all the people I am following on Twitter. How else can I follow them on BlueSky if they are not here yet? Not an easy thing to do, change platforms. There is a lesson here...
