we're only learning how much of the modern world was a zero interest rate phenomenon
a hotel has enormously greater efficiencies of scale than any airbnb, this was obscured by investor subsidies for years (like with Uber) but now it's coming back out
deeply regretting the terrible mistake of booking an airbnb for my holiday. airbnb is now essentially inferior to hotel in every way: price, convenience, cleanliness, comfort, amenities. and reviews can no longer be trusted for anything.

Geneva seems to have just been through a severe enough storm that I even got email from work warning about it, and I'm hundreds of kilometers away thinking about whether I actually shut all windows before leaving.
