You know things are bad when every year you come to appriciate more and more the art of early 20th century surrealists.
I keep recommending Pluribus and people keep complaining that it's slow and yeah it is slow that doesn't make it bad? I love a slow show it makes me pay attention.

I know it's INSUFFERABLE, but no lie this is my favorite Christmas movie and I am jazzed to cozy up on Xmas Eve and watch it again.

My employer, Dartmouth College, today boasts it's 1st Ivy "to launch AI at an institutional scale." It is doing this by partnering--"more than a collaboration"--with Anthropic, a company that stole the books of many faculty, me included, which many of us are suing.

It's weird to have a job that mostly asks me to think about specific things, and then when someone asks me a question I say "yes, I have been thinking about that" and they nod and say "good I am glad someone is thinking about this" and that's it that's the job.
