The reason Sinners is so good is that it’s not a horror movie. It is a film about the Black experience, and the immigrant experience in America. It tells the story of marginalized peoples and uses vampires as allegory to tell that story. It is SO much more than a “vampire movie.”

When I first got on Bluesky I followed a couple starter packs of news and politics, which is great, but that was ALL my feed was. Tried to figure out a way to find a bunch of science and nature folks to follow… Went to the @ologies.bsky.social following tab and just went wild. Hell yeah.
