An associated thing with this is how often I’ll get replies that are just sort of a weird stock phrase like “he must be stopped!” or even worse people being like “FUCK YOU ASSHOLE!!” and I’ll be like “me?” and they’ll go “no, Steve Bannon” and I’ll be like but you’re talking to me. I’m a person.
Maddow plugging Bluesky is, on a metric level, good for the platform, but it also means it is clearly filling up with people who have never used this kind of app before. They're used to Meta platforms, which is why they reply angrily to everything they see and add nothing. Human spam essentially.
