One thing I think is important to remember is that it does not take many subscribers on the scale of things. Your money goes a lot farther when it goes directly toward the people making the work. You do not need 30 million readers and infinite growth.

Hard agree on this take!!! As a person who struggles to plan and schedule stuff but loves my friends and wants to maintain contact, this is the way.

At best, I get to talk to a friend.
At worst, my friend can’t talk and they know I was thinking of them and wanted to talk to them.
A lot of times what happens is they can’t talk right away but I get the, “can I give you a call back at x day/time?” And then I get to talk to a loved one.

Hennepin County Sheriff Dawanna Witt needs to stop assisting ICE. It’s very clear that the sheriff’s department has been harassing, intimidating, arresting and coming out in force to assist ICE. They have been using force against neighbors who are working to protect our immigrant neighbors. 2/
