do any outlets review all those cool lost in cult books. they’re something I’d love to read about — and good excuses to revisit the games they cover

early zelda movie looks reveal that it's not as good as ~~ that one cosplayer you've seen on tiktok ~~
im curious to see what zelda movie looks like in teh end but i think the standard for anything live action will be set so high not just because it's zelda but because the fan work around it -- cosplays, prop making, etc, -- has set a high standard that i actually dont know many studios could match

if speaking out and being loud about TGA and its gross mishandling of the Future Class makes me less employable, that says more about our industry and the people in positions of power than it does me. i have a platform, i'm privileged that i feel safe to speak up. think about folks who might not.

When I was writing my space opera trilogy a few years ago, I decided never to use the word "race" to refer to alien species. I used "species," "peoples," "civilizations," etc.

I've also tried to stop saying "human race" in casual conversation.
The far right is obsessed with Lord of the Rings and Musk keeps posting about "hobbits" because modern scientific racism owes more to fantasy worlds and gaming systems than genetic science, and they see both as effective mediums for right-wing propaganda www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/1...

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.
